One woman band bomberleo (alias for Leonie Klooster) started performing on parties, in bars and festivals in the summer of 2009. Inspired by one-man-blues-bands, new-wave punk, Billie Holiday, the spoken word scene and music from the seventies (Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Joni Mitchell, Melanie Safka), she created her own voice and sound over the years. Bomberleo performs as a singer songwriter (vocals and guitar), a one woman band (drums, guitar, kazoo, vocals) or with a full band. Bomberleo joined De Grote Prijs van Nederland in 2013 and released her first full album One for Sorrow in 2014. Other releases: One Chick Uh Boom Band (EP, 2010), The consequences of our Nature (single, 2019).
