Bomberleo (Leonie Klooster) started performing as a one-woman-band and singer/songwriter in the summer of 2009. Inspired by one-man-blues-bands, new-wave punk, blue grass and gospel, the inclusive spoken word scene in Amsterdam and folk music from the seventies, she developed her own characteristic warm/honest/raw voice and sound. Bomberleo joined De Grote Prijs van Nederland in 2013 and released her first full album One for Sorrow in 2014. Other releases: One Chick Uh Boom Band (EP, 2010), The consequences of our Nature (single, 2019) and (upcoming) EP More than he will ever know (expected 2021).
Bomberleo can be booked as a singer songwriter (vocals and guitar), one woman band (drums, guitar, kazoo, vocals) or with a full semi-accoustic band.
